Haven't had the chance to do a blog for my flash project, and as I can't upload the flash movie to my blog i've just dropped a few samples in. I really enjoyed this project, partly because I'm a bit nerdy and like learning new software, and partly because my project was based around drunk pilots! an interesting topic if ever there was one...

I based the whole movie around an airplane safety video, using the illustrative style and content to convey the information contained visually. I really got stuck into this brief and as a result had the time to knock out and extra interactive section, getting to grips with buttons and actionscript, even a bit of HTML which was handy.

After a chat with Sally the whole idea of sticking your head through the poster now seems to trivialize the campaign somewhat, so I have decided to come from a different angle and use a mirror instead, the concept remains the same, its just easier to manufacture and less open to misconception and abuse from teenagers!

I've also dropped the noose and tweaked the type and its content a bit, this is pretty much the design I'm gonna be handing in.

Here's the first crack at my Amnesty campaign, I have settled upon the idea of capital punishment, I found an amazing statistic based around the amount of people who are sentenced to death but later found innocent, I decided to use this stat along with an interactive poster which allows people to put their face where the criminals is, the idea being that it could be you who is unjustly sent to death row for a crime you didnt commit. Hopefully this will really drive the message home, it also encourages people to interact with the poster and send their picture in to Amnestys web site to help support the campaign.
